This is a must-do at low tide. Check out the sign at the entrance for opening times. There is plenty to keep you busy in the area.
You can pick up a map at the quirky Whistling Frog Cafe. They have great coffees and scones as well. The caves are situated at the bottom of the hill so be prepared for a bit of a puff coming back up the hill through the bush. There are seats along the way.
A flashlight will help you see the back of the caves. Wear sandals and shorts as you may get wet feet. Also, some insect repellent is a good idea.
Not dog friendly because of the penguins and fur seals you may encounter in the Caves. The Trust charges $5 per adult and $3 per child as an access fee to help maintain the road. Toilets at the parking lot.
